Monday, Oct. 13, 2014: Class, Romeo and Juliet Resources

I'm currently reviewing the work you did with the substitute last week.  I'm pleased, for the most part. One class did not get a good report every day, and I will be speaking to those students.

Projects are still due Wednesday for first and third periods.  You have had several weeks to complete these.  Be prepared to present on Thursday.

We will not have new vocabulary charts this week; however, some literary terms will be introduced during the discussion of Romeo and Juliet.

We will have a weekly review test on Friday.

All classes today:

1. DOL/DIAGRAMS
2. Remind sign up
3. Finish RJ notes:  If you lose your notes, here is a pdf of the note outline.  Be sure to compare it with what a classmate wrote because notes were taken from the outline and from discussion.
4. Close reading of "Prologue"

First Period: Read and discussed Romeo and Juliet Act 1, Scene 1 through line 209.
Third Period: Read and discussed Romeo and Juliet Act 1, Scene 1 through line 105
Fourth Period: We had more notes to take, so we only got through the Prologue.

Here is a link to our online textbook.  If you scroll down the page, you will find the version of Romeo and Juliet that we are reading in class.  Use this to review.

Check this link often for review games and resources for Romeo and Juliet.  I will add more activities to the page as we read the play.

All classes should expect a quiz on Shakespeare and Romeo and Juliet tomorrow.
